Welcome to the team
Thank you for choosing a simpler way to fish.
The Yoyito was designed to reconnect you with the rhythm of fishing — simple, direct, and intentional.
How to Hold the Yoyito
Insert your fingers through the holes in the reel, allowing the flat back to rest against your palm and the cone to face your opposite hand.
Keep your thumb free to control the line.
Casting & Retrieving (video below)
Casting
Casting with a hand line does not require distance. Fish naturally move toward bait, and in many situations a short cast — or simply dropping the line straight down from a dock, bridge, pier, or boat — is more than sufficient.
With practice, it is possible to cast the full 250 ft of line included with your Yoyito.
Retrieving
To retrieve, wind the line around the Yoyito. Begin by keeping the hand holding the reel steady while using the other hand to wind. Once comfortable, both hands can move together in a circular motion to increase speed.
Hand-Over-Hand Retrieval
For landing larger fish quickly, pull the line in hand-over-hand, allowing it to fall in loose loops. Use caution — loose line can create a tripping hazard. After removing the fish, wind the line back onto the Yoyito for the next cast or storage.
Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use.
Avoid dropping on hard surfaces.
Dry before storing.
Includes detailed setup, safety recommendations, and fishing regulations.
Please, be safe in the water.
Tight lines,
Fernanda & Benny
